Thinking machines have a long history, used for rational knowledge exploration through chance. Since 2008, I have been using my Thinking Machine, which has three spinning disks with 50 words each. Spinning the disks produces a combination of 3 words that shapes my daily perception and results in text-image combinations. It is a key part of my daily routine and teaching practice. There is also a publication about this work.
