Filmed in the former Altaussee salt mine — that historically significant site where, during the final months of the Nazi regime, over 6,500 stolen artworks were stored — I engage in an imaginary conversation with darkness itself: Is it merely an accomplice to these crimes, a passive witness, or does it hold the potential to preserve memories by making absence visible?
